Cookie Policy

v1.0.0-draftEffective: 2026-06-01Last updated: 2026-06-01

This is a working draft. The final text must be reviewed by legal counsel before commercial launch.

Quick Summary

We use a small set of cookies. Essential cookies keep you logged in and secure and are always on. Functional, analytics, and any future marketing cookies are opt-in — you choose them in our consent banner or in Settings, and you can change your mind anytime.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between page loads and visits — for example, that you are signed in, or which language you picked.

We use cookies and a few similar technologies (such as localStorage and short-lived session tokens) for the same purposes. In this policy we refer to all of them as "cookies" for simplicity.

TalixTrade is trading-bot software. We do not run advertising networks, and we keep cookies to the minimum needed to run the platform safely.

We group cookies into four categories. Only the first is always active; the rest are off until you turn them on.

1. Essential (always on)

These cookies are required for the platform to work. You cannot switch them off, because without them you could not log in or use the dashboard securely. They do not track you for marketing.

  • Session / login — keeps you signed in as you move between pages.
  • CSRF protection — a security token that prevents cross-site request forgery (an attacker submitting actions on your behalf).
  • Consent record — remembers which cookie choices you made, so we do not ask you again on every visit.

2. Functional / Preferences (opt-in)

These remember choices you make to give you a smoother experience. They are not strictly required, so they stay off until you allow them.

  • Language — remembers whether you use English or Russian.
  • Theme — remembers your light/dark and layout preferences.

3. Analytics (opt-in)

These help us understand errors and reliability so we can fix problems. They are off by default.

  • Sentry — captures error and crash reports so we can debug issues. We configure Sentry to anonymize data (for example, by masking identifiers and trimming IP information). It is used to diagnose technical faults, not to profile you.

4. Marketing (currently NOT used)

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not run ad networks or cross-site ad tracking. This category is listed only for transparency. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by trusted providers that help us deliver the service:

  • Cloudflare — used for Cloudflare Turnstile (anti-bot protection on sign-up) and optionally as a CDN/DNS provider. Cloudflare may set cookies to protect the site against bots and abuse and to route traffic efficiently. These support essential security functions.
  • Vercel Analytics (only if enabled) — privacy-focused, aggregated usage measurement on our hosting platform. If we turn it on, it is treated as an analytics cookie and remains opt-in.
  • Google OAuth — when you choose "Sign in with Google," Google may set cookies as part of its login flow. This happens on Google's side and is governed by Google's own policies.

For how these providers handle data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.

How to Manage Cookies

You are in control. There are three ways to manage your choices:

  • Consent banner — on your first visit you see a banner where you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Essential cookies stay on either way.
  • Settings — you can change your cookie choices at any time in your account settings. New choices apply going forward.
  • Your browser — every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will break login and core features.

If you decline analytics and functional cookies, the platform still works — you just lose the convenience features and we collect less diagnostic data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the platform evolves — for example, if we add a new analytics tool or, in the future, any marketing cookies. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, ask for your consent again.
