This is a working draft. The final text must be reviewed by legal counsel before commercial launch.

Quick Summary

TalixTrade is unavailable in a few sanctioned countries and territories, and some countries cap how much leverage retail traders can use. This page explains where access is blocked, where it is limited, and how we estimate your location. We rely on your own confirmation that you are eligible to use TalixTrade.

This page is part of our legal terms. It explains which countries and territories cannot use TalixTrade at all, and which ones may face limits on certain features such as leverage. Please read it together with our Terms of Service.

TalixTrade is trading-bot software. It is not an exchange, bank, broker, custodian, or financial advisor. Your funds always stay on your own exchange account (Binance, Bybit, or OKX). The rules below are about who may use our software, not about who may use those exchanges.

Fully restricted (no access)

We do not offer the TalixTrade service to people or businesses located in, or ordinarily resident in, the following places:

  • North Korea (KP)
  • Iran (IR)
  • Syria (SY)
  • Cuba (CU)
  • Occupied territories (for example, Crimea)

These restrictions exist because of international sanctions, including those administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). We block access to these locations to stay compliant with applicable sanctions law. This list can change if sanctions programs change.

If we determine that you are in a fully restricted location, you will not be able to create an account or use the software, and any existing access may be suspended.

Partially restricted (leverage limits may apply)

Some countries limit how much leverage retail (non-professional) traders are allowed to use. Your local regulator may cap retail leverage — for example, in the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, or the United Kingdom.

We do not assert exact leverage multipliers as guaranteed legal fact, because the limits depend on your regulator, your account type, and the exchange you use. What we do:

  • We show you a warning when a strategy you are building would exceed a leverage level that may not be permitted in your jurisdiction.
  • Your exchange enforces the actual limit. If a leverage setting is not allowed for your account, the exchange will reject or cap the order — not TalixTrade.

Users in these countries still have full access to TalixTrade. The only difference is that you may see leverage warnings, and your exchange may decline higher-leverage trades.

What this means for you

  • If you are in a fully restricted location: you will be directed to a /restricted page and you cannot use the software.
  • If you are in a partially restricted location: you keep full access to all features. You will simply see leverage warnings where they apply, and your exchange controls what is actually allowed.
  • Self-attestation: when you use TalixTrade, you confirm that you are not located in a fully restricted location and that you are allowed to use our software where you live. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you.

How we determine your location

We estimate your location mainly from your IP address, using network and geolocation data from our infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare and Vercel).

This method is not 100% reliable. IP-based location can be wrong, and tools such as VPNs or proxies can hide or change your apparent location. Because of this, we also rely on your own confirmation (self-attestation) in our Terms of Service that you are eligible to use TalixTrade.

Trying to bypass our restrictions — for example, by using a VPN to hide that you are in a fully restricted location — is not allowed and may result in suspension or termination of your access.

If you are travelling

If you travel to a fully restricted location, you may temporarily lose access while you are there, even if your account is in good standing. Access should return once you are back in an eligible location.

Please do not use a VPN or similar tool to keep access while you are physically in a fully restricted location. Doing so breaks these rules and the sanctions they are based on.

Updates

We may update this page when sanctions programs, regulations, or our service change. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of TalixTrade after a change means you accept the updated page.
